Welcome to our new website

We're delighted to welcome you to the new website for The Barn at East Salmons Well.

For some time, guests have found us through Airbnb and word of mouth. Now we have a place of our own online, where you can see the Barn properly, learn more about the area and plan your stay with everything you need in one place.

A little about the Barn

The Barn is a luxury adults-only barn conversion near the village of Acomb in Northumberland. It sleeps four adults in two ensuite bedrooms, so it's ideal for a romantic break for two or a relaxed getaway with friends.

Inside, you'll find an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space with oak floors, a sage green shaker kitchen and sliding doors that open straight onto the garden terrace. Upstairs, the roll-top bath by the window is ready for a long, unhurried soak. Every detail has been chosen to help you slow down and switch off.

Dark skies on the doorstep

One of the things our guests love most is the night sky. Away from the glow of towns and cities, clear nights here bring out the stars in a way many visitors have never seen before. Northumberland is home to some of the darkest skies in England, and the Barn is a wonderful base for stargazing, whether from the garden or on a trip into the wider dark sky area.

Perfectly placed to explore

The Barn sits about a mile from Hadrian's Wall and a mile and a half from the market town of Hexham, with its abbey, independent shops and cafés. Nearby villages offer wonderful restaurants, cosy country inns and welcoming coffee houses. The Northumberland coast is around an hour away, making for a lovely day trip.
